Barn Owls with Mr Bax

Earlier this year John Bax and I went around hanging up a few owl boxes here and there, well as it would have it--we now have some beautiful barn owls to photograph. Of course John has captured some fantastic video and it's hard to compete, but I'm having fun! Five of the six young have survived and moved out of the nest box, a few more weeks and they should be off and flying.

Some shots I took at the memorial for one of the battles which led to the start of the Mexican-American War. They light eight thousand candles each year in remembrance of the troops who fought on the battle field.
