Seth Patterson is an avid naturalist and self-taught photographer who first discovered photography as a means to share his passion for nature with the world. Now a life-long pursuit, he focuses on using his photography as a tool to help educate and inspire conservation.
A native Texan, Seth is a freelance photographer and an employee of Gorgas Science Foundation, a non-profit organization focused on conservation through education. His work for GSF centers around imagery and incorporates much of his photography and graphics design abilities. His most recent project for GSF, “El Valle – The Rio Grande Delta,” is a 284 page coffee-table book which was awarded a Gold Medal in the 2011 Independent Publisher’s Publisher of the Year (IPPY) contest. His images are also regularly featured in Texas Parks & Wildlife Magazine, Texas Shores Magazine,and many other publications and productions.
An avid scuba diver, much of Seth's recent endeavors have been underwater. His creative eye helps him capture stunning pictures from a realm few ever visit. Seth is also a participating photographer for the international Meet Your Neighbours Project.
